mmmmmm papaya whip, looks as good as it sounds.

01 / self made necklace / vintage brass rope chain & large fabric pom poms
02 / large triple pom pom necklace with layered brass chain
03 / small pom pom on a gold plated chain
04 / a little production cycle

Hope you have all had a good weekend! I'm becoming a crafting hermit.
Thank God I have a few day trips planned this week! Picking up some more chain tomorrow for a new batch of the simple charm necklaces. Also, more knotted rope pieces (you guys snap up that sailor bracelet so quick I can't keep up!) and a few more styles of the pom pom necklaces. Oh and keep your eyes out for tassel related goodies arriving over the next couple of weeks.....

making (more) plans

hello lovely people,
I spent my day finishing off new products for the store and ended it struggling to take photographs in the dark.....how is it too dark to take photographs at 3 in the afternoon? Naughty Winter, I'm definitely getting a super early start to the day tomorrow to catch the morning sun!

I imagine it will be afternoonish (here in England) by the time things (pom poms and such) are listed so be sure to stop by my little store! So little in fact that there are currently 3 items for sale, oh heck.

I also can't help but give you a hint as to what is next in the queue to be developed .... a collection inspired by molecular structures anyone?
Brass tubes, beads and mesh have already been ordered and I'll also be putting those 500 odd Swarovski crystals to good use!
Seeing as this was an idea I had sometime last year, you can view old sketchbook work on a similar theme here.

p.s. to all those who have been featuring my little store on their blogs... thank you! thank you! thank you!

another magazine

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I've had serious cravings today to make a dress......but I stayed strong!

Once I've made a suitable amount of these pom pom necklaces (i'm yet to have more than one of each style) I'll allow myself a little fashion design fun. I've long had a love for simple black dresses with white cuffs and collars so it's about time I get round to making one!

Versatility is very important to me when purchasing clothing and for this reason I'm planning on a collection with a few design twists. Will keep you updated!

For now enjoy this beautiful image by the talented Laurie Bartley.

making plans

before
pom pom necklaces / segmented and knotted rope pieces / multi-functional chain / charms, charms, charms / lockets, lockets, lockets / bow brooches /
pom pom brooches / brass cube bracelet
000
trusty H&M purchases:
black wrap dress with the most flattering neckline /
bow front blouse / pom pom necklaces
000
reworked vintage dress / segmented rope necklace /
brass cube bracelet / charms, charms, charms
packaging
finally decided on my packaging design: I'd been struggling to find the right size/colour paper luggage tags so I decided to just make my own! I'm also a little obsessed with anything elephant related at the moment. Oh and expect to see many more knotted rope creations, I still need to show you all my finished
rope body piece!

and if anyone is interested, I'll be posting a link to my etsy shop this monday evening! Just going on a weekend trip to get some more of the peachy pom pom fabric. I only bought 50 cm and now I've run out, eek! wish me luck...

p.s. thank you so much to those who blogged about or commented on the last post. It's much appreciated and I'm so very flattered!
